CBR125R :Overview

Crisp response, thrilling performance
The 125cc sportsbike class is where riding careers begin. It’s a machine that gives young riders the opportunity to develop their skills as early as possible. That’s why it’s a motorcycle with a huge responsibility.
It must be just as rewarding to ride as bigger Supersports machines, particularly around town and other places where power is less important. Young riders build confidence on two wheels with bikes such as a 125cc. And let’s face it, it’s easier to learn something when it’s made to be fun.
Since its introduction in 2004, the CBR125R has represented the ideal first sportsbike. Compact, lightweight, refined, easy to use and with welcoming handling that the CBR family is renowned for. It’s a firm favourite with young riders the world over.
For 2011, the all new CBR125R is ready to prove itself as the perfect first sportsbike for a new generation of riders.
Designed to develop the sports riding skills from the earliest days of your career
Superbikes are the ultimate road motorcycles. They offer a thrill no other bike can match. That’s why we designed the 2011 CBR125R. A small-capacity bike with big ambition.
The brief to our design team was simple. Create a 125cc sportsbike with the look and feel of a bigger, more expensive machine. The new model had to retain the current CBR125R’s user-friendly handling characteristics and free-revving single cylinder engine, but packaged inside all-new sophisticated, lightweight and stylish bodywork.
Modern riders expect full-size proportions, so that meant more aggressive wheel and tyre specs too. We also added the latest advances in fuel injection and catalyser technology to make the CBR125R more efficient than its predecessor.
If you want your riding career to start with a motorcycle built as a superbike from the ground up, look no further than the 2011 CBR125R.

Overview of Yamaha R125

Yamaha R125 is one of the best looking bikes in the world in 125cc segment. It is expected that Yamaha India will launch this bike in India. But no official statement has been made by Yamaha India to launch R125 in India. This is a speculation that R125 will be launched in India. If it is launched in India then it is for sure that it will be a huge success because it has got the best looks and is technically very sound.
Design & Styling of Yamaha R125
With its unmistakeable R-series styling, the R125 stands out in the crowd, and is easy to mistake for a much larger capacity machine. The dual headlights have a distinctive R-series look, while the low frontal area and small tail of R125 is clearly influenced by the bigger R-series bikes. And like the chassis, the bodywork is full-sized, making this new sportsbike the most impressive looking machines in the class. High build quality is evident wherever you look on the new R125, and the front braking system is another example of Yamaha’s commitment to using only high-specification components.

Engine of Yamaha R125

- Liquid-cooled 125cc engine
- Maximum Power: 14.5 Bhp at 9000 rpm
- Maximum Torque: 12.2 Nm at 8000 rpm
- Gearbox: 6 Speed
The R125 is the most advanced 125 production supersport machine that Yamaha has ever built. This radical, high-revving, fuel-injected 125 is the work of the same engineers who created our legendary R1 and R6 supersport bikes.  And, as you’d expect, the R125 is packed with advanced MotoGP technology as well as a whole range of R-series type engine and chassis features. Its liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, single cylinder, SOHC engine is tuned to deliver free-revving performance right through to maximum power at 9,000 rpm and for instant response and efficient operation this remarkable 6-speed R125 is equipped with a compact fuel injection system.

Chassis & Brakes of Yamaha R125

Just like its larger R-series brothers, the new R125 features a lightweight Deltabox frame which delivers an optimum balance of strength and rigidity for class-leading handling performance. The twin spar Deltabox design has proved to be one of the lightest and best-handling frame designs in the supersport category, and its use on the new R125 underlines Yamaha’s total commitment to building the best-handling machine in the class. One of the most significant features of the new R125 is that it has been constructed with a fullsized chassis, which is unique in its segment. As well as ensuring that the unsprung weight is minimised in order to enhance the front and rear suspension performance, the distinctive 10-spoke alloy wheels give the R125 a unique look. The lightweight wheels are fitted with some of the widest rubber in the class, with a 100/80-17 tyre at the front, and a massive 130/70-17 tyre at the rear.
The race-inspired chassis of Yamaha R125 features a Deltabox frame and aluminium swinging arm for outstanding handling performance, and lightweight 5-spoke wheels help to minimize unsprung weight to give impressive roadholding. Yamaha R125 features a large diameter 292mm front disc with a 230mm diameter rear disc make for effective stopping power, and the aggressive R-series bodywork lets everybody know exactly where this bike’s DNA has come from! Complementing the race-bred Deltabox frame is a cast aluminium swinging arm. By keeping unsprung weight low, this high quality swinging arm allows the link-type rear suspension system to operate more efficiently and deliver more responsive handling qualities.

Main Features of Yamaha R125:

- Liquid-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke
- SOHC 4-valve cylinder head
- Wet-sump lubrication system
- Fuel injection
- Electric start
- 6-speed transmission
- R6-style mid-ship muffler
- Dual catalysers
- Air Induction system
- Front & Rear Disc Brakes

Expected Shades of Yamaha R125
